Getting to your hotel
From the airport: Lisbon Airport is within the city limits, so consider taking a taxi to your hotel. Watch out for dishonest taxi drivers outside the arrivals lounge. A trick to avoid them is to catch a taxi outside the departures lounge on the first floor. Charge is according to the meter, plus a supplement per item of luggage. Alternatively, taxi-vouchers (good for anywhere within the city limits, luggage included) can be bought at the arrivals lounge. The airport is also linked to the city centre by the Aerobus service (which can drop you off at a metro station) and regular bus lines 5, 8, 22, 44, 45, 83. More information here.

If coming by train: The international train stations for Lisbon are Oriente and Santa Apolónia.
Most trains stop at Oriente first and then carry on to Santa Apolónia.  Both are linked to the metro, but Santa Apolónia is on the Blue Line and nearer the centre. You can also take a taxi to your hotel.

Getting to the conference site at ISLA
The easiest way to get to ISLA is by metro.
ISLA is a two-minute walk from the Carnide metro station.
If you are coming from the city centre, get on the Blue Line to Amadora-Este.
(make sure your train goes all the way to Amadora-Este, for some trains only go as far as Colégio Militar/Luz; if you get on the wrong train by mistake, don't panic: just get off at Colégio Militar/Luz and wait on the same platform for the next train)
Get off at Carnide.
Choose the exit near the public phone and the newspaper vending machine.
Walk to the corner and turn left.
Cross a small side street and ISLA is the yellow palace on the corner.
Keep going for another twenty metres. The entrance is through a red gate on your left.
